This blog is going to investigate that. I'm a SuperGeek and know how to do research in ways that gets up-to-the-minute information. I'm also jumping in to Kooday so that I can get to know it first hand. "Experience is the Best Teacher" is another thing that many people believe in, so I will be able to document my own experiences for you.
Does this mean that you should wait and see? The answer depends on several things:
1) Let's be completely pessimistic and say it is a complete and total scam and you lose everything you put into it. How much can you afford to lose? You can get started with Kooday for as little as $5. That doesn't mean that $5 is the best decision for everyone. Kooday sets the bar low to get people in the game, but Kooday is also built on the "more you risk the more you are rewarded" principle. I know a guy that had the wherewithall (and the guts) to start with $1000. He's now gathering BIG BUCKS per day, even when he does NOTHING. It appears that the way the rules are currently running, you can get your initial investment back pretty quickly. If you do that, and take it back out of the Kooday system (and back into your bank account) then anything you make after that is free money... and the more you have to START with the better off you will be. You choose your amount, but whatever you do I'd suggest starting now with whatever amount you can afford to lose.
2) How long are you going to wait? I can guarantee you that making the big returns is going to diminish over time. For one thing, the longer you wait the more keywords are being bought up for as little as 10 cents. If you get in early, it is pretty easy to find excellent 10 CENT keywords (meaning you could own FIFTY of them for your $5 investment). I also figure that it in Kooday's interests to make the early adopters very happy, so that they spread the word. As time goes on, I expect the immediate payouts to diminish. However, as long as you can make back your original investment (whatever that is) in a short period of time - do you care?
3) Who are you going to join under? You'll notice that virtually all of the links to Kooday consist of an URL (web address) that looks like this:
http://www.kooday.com/refer.asp?ref=32721. That means that your activity will be "tied" to the person that corresponds to that ref number. "32721" is my ref number.
4) Why should you care who you join under (whose link you click)? Because some people are just spraying their reference link out there using any means at their disposal, but they are only interested in themselves and accumulating more people under them. (Kooday "pays" them "Kooday points" for everyone that joins). NOTE: You will be in the same position when you tell your friends, relatives, and coworkers about it (another reason to SIGN UP before they hear about it from somebody else!) "Kooday points" convert into real money at some point. (More about that in a future post.) The point I'm making here is: If you are smart, you will want to sign up under someone who is going to help make YOU a SUCCESS. You want the guy leading you down the trail to warn you of what might be coming, and what to do to maximize your success and minimize your failures. That's what I am going to do. This blog is public information (anybody can see it) but those who follow my link and join "under" me will get my information and insights BEFORE it is posted here (and some information may be exclusively for those who click my link to try Kooday.
5. There is an argument to be made that: Even if Kooday ultimately turns out to be an unsustainable scam, that doesn't mean that a smart player/investor can't make some money at it. The trick is to limit your actual investment over time and play with Kooday's money, not your own. That's one of the things I'll share with those who sign up with my link to try Kooday.
6. Are you treating it as a game/entertainment or treating it as a business? There is no right or wrong answer to this question. A lot of people enjoy going to the Casino and spending money in exchange for the fun of it. (I'm not one of those people, by the way.) However, you will also find that many of the most successful businessmen in the world (like billionaire investor Warren Buffett and billionaire Bill Gates of Microsoft) treat everything like a competitive game. The point is that you can do both: Have fun and make money. If nothing else, Kooday looks like it understands that principle!
